Bio: Sterling began playing bass guitar at age 15, though he began to show interest in the instrument as young child. Having never received formal bass guitar lessons, he relied on learning the techniques of some of his main influences (Les Claypool, Cliff Burton, Flea etc.) and manipulating them into his own unique style.
He thuroughly understands the role of the bass guitar in modern music and always complements the guitar work with subtle percussive melodies. Sterling provides the driving pulse for the music. He is not afraid to ride a simple pedal tone, if the melody requires it and is very consious of the role the bass and drums play in the music. Sterling has an unsurpassed stage presence, he loves to perform and entertain live audiences and for this reason he is a fan favorite.
